Poem – A Child’s Guide to Using Grandpa’s Computer

A Child’s Guide to Using Grandpa’s Computer

If a packet hits a pocket on a socket on a port,
and the bus is interrupted as a very last resort,
and the address of the memory makes your floppy disk abort
then the socket packet pocket has an error to report!

If you’ve ever received this verse in your e-mail, you know of Gene Ziegler’s “A Child’s Guide to Using Grandpa’s Computer”. Unfortunately, what you probably read is a butchered version which resulted in a second poem titled “Hang the Information Highwayman!”. Both can be viewed at the page I have linked and I highly suggest that you do.
