LKML: “Michael H. Warfield”: Sync option destroys flash!
Just a little something for Linux users which I felt was too important not to share. The short version is, never use the sync option for FAT drives. It does not get ignored, will wear out hard drives quickly, and can kill flash drives with a single file transfer!
